- The number of open sockets definitely does depend on your TCP/IP stack. I
- have experienced this limitation especially with DOS-based stacks. If the
- stack is DLL-based, the limitation may not be as severe as with a DOS-based
- stack. I have not run into a case where I ran out of sockets while using
- NetManage's Chameleon, even with 4 X Window programs and an FTP session
- running simultaneously (the most I have needed to do at one time). There is
- always a first time, though...
